CBD-Infused Chocolate Cream Tart

The way I see it, a tart is basically a pie with a more adventurous crust, so why not amp the adventure up even more and infuse your tart with some of Grön’s amazing CBD?

This recipe is extremely versatile and lets you make the crust out of any sandwich cookie you want, so feel free to experiment and see where your imagination leads you. The obvious choice is to go with Oreos, but I’ve had some luck with Keebler Vienna Fingers as well. Go ahead, make the recipe yours!

Although this CBD tart recipe has multiple steps, don’t be deterred—this is actually fairly easy to put together. Plus, you can tell everyone at your neighborhood picnic how hard you slaved away on this. Don’t worry, I’ll keep your secret. Any of Grön’s 100mg chocolate bars work great here, but I actually recommend experimenting with some of their specialty bars to REALLY make this recipe special. Just make sure you use two bars if you decide to go the 50mg specialty flavor route

Stand-up or handheld mixer.

Food processor

Crust Ingredients:

20 chocolate sandwich cookies

3 tbsp melted butter

How it’s done: 

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350º F. Crush the sandwich cookies and pulse in food processor until they become fine crumbs. Add melted butter and pulse until combined.

Step 2
Place mixture in an oven-safe tart tin or pie pan and press with your hands firmly until it covers the bottom. Bake for 5-7 minutes, then remove from oven and let cool completely.

Chocolate Filling Ingredients:

1 cup chocolate, chopped

1 grön 100mg CBD chocolate bar, chopped

12 oz. heavy cream

How it’s done:

Step 1
Place chopped chocolate and grön bar in a bowl. Heat cream in a saucepan until it just begins to boil.

Step 2 
Pour heated cream over chocolate and let sit for 3-5 minutes. After, stir gently until combined and pour into cookie tart shell.

Step 3
Use a piece of wax paper or plastic wrap to cover the surface of the filling and let cool in the fridge for 4 hours or until cool.

Whipped Cream Ingredients:

1 cup whipped cream, chilled

2 tbsp honey

1/2 tsp vanilla

How it’s done:

Step 1
Measure 2 tbsp of cream and pour into a small microwave-safe dish with the honey. Microwave in short intervals, just until the honey melts enough to mix fully into the cream.

Step 2
Place the rest of the whipped cream in a mixer (or bowl if you’re feeling tough today) and beat until it forms soft peaks. Add the honey mixture and vanilla at this point, then beat until stiff peaks form.

Step 3
Remove tart from fridge after cooling, top with whipped cream.

Serve with: A garnish of chocolate shavings for an indisputably beautiful dessert. Some drizzles of chocolate sauce couldn’t hurt either!
